Theodore Sumrall
Theodore Sumrall, 86, of Fort Walton Beach, Fla., went home to be with his Heavenly Father on March 20, at home surrounded by his loving family. Ted was born at Sumrall, Miss., to Henry A and Cordie Sumrall. He attended Columbia High School and the University of Maryland. Ted began a military career in the U.S. Army serving in France towards the end of WWII in 1945 and retired from the U.S. Air Force in Fort Walton Beach in 1967. He is survived by his loving wife, Mary Jane, of almost 61 years; son, Dr. Theodore S. Sumrall (Maria); daughter, Cynthia Gilley (Darryl); six grand children, (Theresa, Carolyn Hardy (Michael), Jacob (Lora), James, Theodore H. and Mary Elizabeth); great-grandson, James Roy Hardy; and brother, Oliver Sumrall. Ted is predeceased by five sisters and four brothers. Ted was cared for at home by his loving family and Emerald Coast Hospices Angels. Funeral services will be held at Trinity United Methodist Church on Tuesday, March 25, 2014, at 10 a.m., followed by internment at Beal Memorial Cemetery.
