Ellis G. King, 93, of Paxton, Florida, passed away Thursday October 31, 2013 at his residence with two of his nieces at his side. He was born, September 26, 1920 in Covington County, Alabama, to William Henry and Matilda Lundy King. He was the 8th child of 10 born to the couple. He lived many years in central Florida and worked in the citrus industry. Ellis enjoyed his family, he loved going to family reunions and looking up old friends. He was a WWII veteran and proud of his service to his country. Four of his brothers, Loyd, Irving, Earl and Willie also served during that time. He is preceded in death by his sisters, Louise King Lawrence and Alma King Mason; his brothers, Loyd, Elvin, Irving, Wiley, Willie and Earl King; and by his wife Frances King in 2004. Survivors include his last sibling; his sister, Mary King Aplin of Andalusia; a special friend, Lorine Manning, with whom he spent many special days; and several nieces and nephews. Graveside services will be at 3:30PM Sunday, November 3, 2013 at Paxton Cemetery with Reverend John Lovelady officiating and Evans Funeral home directing. Visitation 1:30PM Sunday, November 3, 2013 at Evans Funeral Home in Florala, Alabama. Pallbearers will be Mike Craig, Mark Craig, Ray Hall, William Hall, Wayne Carnley and Junior King
