Lois Ellis Barnett
Lois Ellis Barnett 1915-Oct. 13, 2013 Resident of Walnut Creek Gone to be with her Lord Jesus. We will meet again in Heaven. Born in Montana to William and Nettie Ellis, and resided in Sandpoint ID, where in 1933, she married Cliff Barnett (now deceased). They were married 68 years. Lois owned a Beauty Shop and worked for 6 years. In 1934, twin daughters were born. Lois and Cliff moved to CA in 1945. Lois lived a life of service to others, especially young people. She was active in the Jobs Daughters organization, and a member of the Eastern Star. Until her death, she was the oldest Past Grand Guardian of CA. Lois and Cliff traveled worldwide. Lois enjoyed cooking, baking, reading, cheering the Oakland A's Baseball team and entertaining family. She is survived by daughters Sherrill Westwood and Carroll Elliott, sister Lesba Riddle, and grandchildren: Laurie Westwood Yoder, Donna Francken (Gustavo), Janet Price (Dana), Ron Elliott (Michele), Joyce Ulrich (Dirk); and great grandchildren: Elliott, Andrew and William Price; Greer Elliott, Chase, Paige and Allison Ulrich; Rodney Yoder, and Amanda and Nick Francken. Predeceased by brothers Lee and Douglas Ellis. Thanks to Visiting Angels and Hospice of the East Bay for their tender care of Lois.
