Bennett, Colleen 73 May 03, 1937 Jan. 30, 2011 Colleen Bennett was born in North Dakota and died Jan. 30, 2011, in Arizona. She lived in Lake Oswego where she was an active volunteer. She served as State President of the League of Women Voters, as the first Executive Director of Oregon HEAT, was on the board of the Clackamas Women's Services and as the President of the Friends of the Lake Oswego Library, led an active campaign to build a larger library in that community. Colleen is survived by her husband, Joe; sons, Tim, Tom (Nancy) and Scott; and five grandchildren. A celebration of life will be held from 3 to 6 p.m. Tuesday, May 24, 2011, at Mountain Park Recreation Center in Lake Oswego. Donations may be made to the Lake Oswego Public Library, the League of Women Voters of Oregon or Clackamas Women's Services.
