Jay was born on February 8, 1926 and passed away on Saturday, May 13, 2017. Jay was a resident of Ohio at the time of passing. He graduated from Wellsville High School in 1943. He was a member of the U.S. Navy in WW II serving in the South Pacific as a radioman on three ships, USS Wasatch, USS Yorktown and USS Kitkun Bay, participating in four battle encounters. Funeral services for Gregg will be 11 a.m. Wednesday, May 17, 2017 at Wagley Funeral Home, Adrian with Rev. Larry Betz officiating. Burial will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery. Visitation will be on Tuesday, May 16, from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the Hospice of Lenawee; envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
