William L. "Bill" Singleton
WILLIAM L. SINGLETON, of Geneva formerly of Chardon, Age 89, died January 20 at UHHS, Geneva Medical Center Hospital. He was born March 30, 1923 in Gassaway, WV, and was the husband of the late Mildred M. (nee: Nappo) Singleton. He is survived by his children Donna Lynch of Monrovia, CA, Sharon DiBetta of Geneva, Shirley (Mark) Baker of St. Croix, Ernie Singleton of Geneva, Marie (James) Arthur of Madison and Carrie (Dusty) Parker of Painesville, 18 Grandchildren and 33 Great Grandchildren. He also leaves his brother James (Louise) Singleton of CA and sisters Lue Mullins of Tiro, OH and Clara Carmichael of WV. Mr. Singleton proudly served in the US Navy during World War II. He loved to work in his vegetable garden. He was a member of the VFW Post #6519 and Geauga Aerie Eagles #2261, both of Chardon. FUNERAL SVC: Friday, January 25 at 11:00 AM at the Burr Funeral Home, 116 South ST. (On Rt. 44, 500' south of Rt. 6/Chardon Square) Chardon. The family will receive friends Thursday, 5:00 – 7:00 PM at the funeral home.
