Middlesex Richard Rossman Furniture Finisher Richard Rossman, 83, passed away peacefully November 8, 2009, at Somerset Medical Center, surrounded by his loving family. Born in Newark, he lived in Irvington before moving to Middlesex. He proudly served in the US Army Air Corp during WWII, flying missions over Japan and China and stationed in Guam. Mr. Rossman worked as a self-employed furniture finisher for 60+ years. He enjoyed fishing, bowling, trips to Atlantic City, and reading. He also loved to repair things and was an avid coin collector. He was a loving husband, father, brother and grandfather, who will be sadly missed by all who knew him. He was predeceased by his loving wife, Mary of 46 years, in 2001 and his brother, Edmond. Surviving are his son, Richard of Flemington, four daughters, Susan Aidekman and husband, Gary, their children, Sage, Dana and Alix of Madison, Diane Montuori, husband Joseph and their son, Michael of Succasunna, Mary Desiato and husband, Earl, their children, Trevor, Nicholas, Kari and Amanda of Middlesex and Lisa Murphy and husband, Tim, their children Mara and Claire of Hillsborough, two brothers, Herbert and wife, Mila of Fredericksburg, VA and Kenneth of Kendall Park and one sister-in-law, Peggy of Little Egg Harbor. Funeral services will begin Thursday, 9 am at the Middlesex Funeral Home, 528 Bound Brook Rd., Middlesex followed by interment at Cloverleaf Cemetery, Woodbridge. Visitation hours will be Wednesday from 2-4pm and 7-9pm at the funeral home.
