Ignatius "Iggy" Lantvit, age 65, of McHenry, passed away peacefully at his home on Sunday, December 2, 2018. He was born November 17, 1953, to the late Ignatius and Anne (nee Bachner) Lantvit.
Some of Iggy's favorite memories were from his visits to Colorado to see the Green's. In his free time, he enjoyed gambling, his motorcycle, playing softball, bowling, golf, and woodworking. Iggy never could miss an episode of Wheel of Fortune. He also liked watching HGTV and Dr. Who. More than anything, Iggy loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.
Iggy was a humble man with more integrity than most. He was extremely loyal, almost to a fault. With his non-judgmental spirit, Iggy allowed people to be who they wanted to be and never spoke a bad word about anyone. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
He is survived by his loving children: Carrie (Joe) Holtz and Peter "PJ" (Kerrey) Lantvit; cherished grandchildren: Logan Holtz, Sophie and Parker Lantvit; love of his life: Kim "Kimster" Curran and her children: Lani, Sean, Megan, Ryan and her grandchildren. He is further survived by his dear siblings: Bonnie (Robert) Kostuk, Dale (Neil), John (Gail), and Peter (Maria) Lantvit; furry companions: Smokey Joe and Cammy; and many nieces, nephews, and Hiawatha Park friends.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Mary Anne and her husband, Vincent.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, December 8, 2018 from 11:30am until the time of Funeral Service at 1:30pm at Colonial Funeral Home, 591 Ridgeview Dr., McHenry. Interment will be private.
In lieu of flowers, memorials in Iggy's name may be made to a charity of your choice.
