Johnsburg-Roberts, Emitt (1930-2019). Died peacefully on January 27. Born in Kirksville, MO on December 29, 1930 to Emitt V. Roberts and Helen (Marquith) Roberts. Survived by his children, Cindy (Victor), Mike (Karen), Jeff (Sandy), Brian (Lisa), sister, Arlis, 11 Grandchildren: Mark, Crystal, Joshua, Michelle, Timothy, Amber, Abigail, Brianne, Parker, Jacob, and Faith; and 3 great grandchildren: Cassandra, Stephanie, and Caitlin. Emitt was preceded in death by his beloved wife Dolores, brother Gordon, sisters; Joann,Twila parents Emitt and Hellen and step mother Ada. Emitt a veteran of the Korean War (Army) and member of the VFW and Moose Lodge. Emitt spent most of his adult life as a heavy equipment operator and business owner. The Roberts family wishes to extend their deepest appreciation to the VA Hospitals (Hines in Maywood, Lowell in North Chicago and Zablocki in Milwaukee for the extraordinary care over the past 38 years. Visitation will be from 3-7 pm on Thursday, January 31 at the Colonial Funeral Home in McHenry. Mass will be held at 10:30am on Friday, February 1, 2019, at St. John The Baptist Catholic Church, Johnsburg. With internment immediately following at St. John the Baptist Cemetery, Johnsburg. In lieu of flowers a donation can be made to Hines VA Hospital in Emitt's name: Edward Hines Jr., VA Hospital, Voluntary Service (135), 5000 South 5th Avenue, Hines, IL 60141.
