Edith Watson Lutz (nee Cooper), 82 of Avon Lake formerly of Long Branch, PA passed away peacefully following a lengthy illness on Friday, January 11, 2019. She was born to parents Vincent and Anna Cooper on May 24, 1936. Edith worked as a poll worker, a volunteer aide at Westview Elementary School and as a medical receptionist, but above all, her favorite job was being a homemaker and taking care of her family. Edith was a loving wife and mother whose life revolved around her kids and her grandchildren; everyone that entered her home was family. She was also a proud fan of the Steelers and the Cleveland Indians. She is survived by her beloved husband Alexander; loving children Jeff, Sandra Gase (Kevin) and Debra Novotny (Brian); cherished grandchildren Jessica Lutz, Brent and Grant Gase and Brandon, Alexis and Connor Novotny; dear siblings Dolores Harper, Judy Orobona (Ray), Walter Cooper and Sara Moulder (David). She is preceded in death by her parents Vincent and Anna Cooper and siblings Vincent, Ray and Emily (Pete). In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be forwarded to the American Lung Association 6100 Rockside Woods Blvd., Suite 260 Independence, OH 44131.
