Susan D'Andrea
Susan M. D'Andrea (nee Trusken), 67 of Avon Lake, passed away on Saturday, December 29, 2018, in her own home surrounded by her loving family after a short illness. Susan was born in Cleveland to Phillip and Reta Trusken on May 8, 1951. She was very smart from the beginning and was a member of Academic Challenge in High School. She served her school newspaper as a reporter and worked for a while after graduating as a writer for Cleveland news publications. After working as a mortgage lender she was most recently working as a bookkeeper for her son's business. The work that Susan loved most was her job as a wife and mother, she was at her best when she was raising, feeding and nurturing her family. Susan was a great cook and she enjoyed reading, gardening, sewing, April Fool's Day and praying the Rosary. Susan was a member of the Shoreman Moms Club and St. Joseph Church in Avon Lake. She was a very faithful woman and her family is comforted in the knowledge that she is resting peacefully with her Savior. Susan leaves her best friend and the love of her life, Robert, they were married for 45 years; her five children, Robert, Tom (Wendi), Katie Starek (Scott), Mike (Aubin) and Doug; she was the devoted grandmother of Lili, Vinny, Emet, Cael, Aniella and Kaylee; dear sister of Tim Trusken (Denise), Nancy Bethardy (Dennis) and Phillip Trusken and sister in law of Elaine D'Andrea. She was predeceased by her parents. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 am, on Friday, January 4, 2019, at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 32929 Lake Rd., Avon Lake. Followed by burial at St. Joseph Cemetery in Avon. Friends may call on Thursday, January 3, from 3:00-7:00 pm at the Busch Funeral Home, 163 Avon Belden Rd., Avon Lake.
