Montville - Gail Barbara Porter, 77, of Uncasville, died on Friday, Sept. 7, 2018, at Apple's Liberty Hall in Colchester. She was born in New London, on Sept. 15, 1940, to the late Charles and Irene (Upton) Raffuse. Gail was raised in Old Saybrook and graduated from Old Saybrook High School. She enjoyed reading, knitting, being outdoors especially by the ocean and spending time with her family. Gail is survived by her son, John Porter of Uncasville; her daughters, Deborah L. Porter of California, Renee A. Porter and wife, Denise Hudson, of New Hampshire, Sharon Silva and husband, Kevin, of California and Monica J. Lund and husband, David Sr., of Lebanon; her sisters, Patricia Brink of Old Saybrook and Judith Machnik of Old Lyme; her brother, Ted Raffuse of Ledyard; grandchildren, Krystal Silva, Destiny Lund, Samantha Lund, Christian Lund, David Lund Jr. and Shelby Porter; and her great-grandson, Jackson Wilson. In addition to her parents, Gail was predeceased by her son, Robert F. Porter Jr. A private burial will be held at Riverside Cemetery at the convenience of the family.
