In memory of
Francoise Boucher Mass is Saturday in North Arlington Francoise Boucher (nee Barrette), 92, died Aug. 7, 2019, at her daughter's home in Easton, Pa. Born in Quebec, Canada, she lived in Newark, N.J., proudly becoming a U.S. citizen in 1960. She worked as a secretary for 30 years for the Newark Housing Authority, retiring from there in her early 60s. She moved to North Arlington, N.J., 40 years ago, where she was a faithful member of Our Lady of Queen of Peace Church in North Arlington. She was a Rosary Society member and Officer at every Church she ever attended. First in her life was and is her Lord, Jesus Christ, to whom she was committed for her entire life, and with whom she now resides forever, together with her loved ones who passed before her. She was the beloved wife of the late Joseph Leo, the cherished mother of Michelle Gardner, Yvette Sica, and Gisele Mascarich, the loving grandmother of 11 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren, and the dear sister of Paul Barrette and Bethe Marlowe. A widow for over 39 years, Francoise was a faithful servant in her community, taking the elderly to church functions, grocery shopping, and medical appointments on a regular basis. If anyone was in need, she was quietly there for them. She was also active in Bible Study, the Rosary Society, and in her final days, at the Senior Club. Although North Arlington leaders wanted to make her "Citizen of the Year," she politely declined, preferring the role of a quiet and humble servant, never desirous of drawing any attention to herself. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the visitation at the Parow Funeral Home, 185 Ridge Road, North Arlington on Saturday, Aug. 10, from 10 a.m. to 10:45 a.m., thence to Our Lady of Queen of Peace Church, North Arlington for the Funeral Mass at 11:15 a.m. Interment will follow at the Holy Cross Cemetery in North Arlington.
