Francis "Frank" Brieger
Brieger, Francis "Frank" 9/21/1936 - 9/5/2019 JACKSON 82 passed peacefully into heaven on Thursday, September 5, 2019 under the compassionate care of Henry Ford Allegiance Hospice House. He was born in Jackson to A. F. and Anna Brieger. He was married to Wanda (Hewlett) Brieger for 59 years. They had two children, Brian of East Lansing and Amanda of Jackson. Also surviving are two granddaughters, Nena and Caidan Cryar of Florida and his sister Patricia May of Jackson. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Joseph. He graduated from St. Johns High School, served in the Marine Corps Reserves for six years. He was a barber and house painter. He loved fast pitch softball, horseshoes, bowling, attending sporting events (especially Michigan State University) and live music in many venues. He was a member of Westwinds Community Church (1100 Robinson Rd., Jackson 49203) where a celebration of his life will be held on Wednesday, September 25, 2019 at 11:00a.m.. Military honors will be given by the Vietnam Veterans of America Jackson Chapter 109. The family will receive friends for visitation one hour prior to the service. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Westwinds Community Church or Henry Ford Allegiance Hospice House.
