Frances Zaluski
Frances Zaluski, 85, of Jefferson Twp., passed away peacefully Thursday evening under the care of Traditional Home Hospice. Her loving husband of 45 years, Vincent Zaluski, died Jan. 1, 2000. Born in Throop on May 7, 1935, daughter of the late Zigmund and Frances Rakosky Yashinski, she was a graduate of Throop High School, and was a member of St. Eulalia Catholic Church in Elmhurst. She worked for many years in the local garment industry, and enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. Mom lived a selfless life and created a beautiful family filled with love. Her life revolved around being with them and helping others. The years of being at the lake and our family get-togethers were truly and uniquely special, just as she was. She is a great inspiration to her children and others, and will be missed and loved by everyone who knew her. Surviving are sons, Vincent, Matthew (Elizabeth) and Christopher (Allison); daughter, Deborah Damski (Thomas); grandchildren, Jeannine, Jessica, Vincent IV, Melissa, Zachary, Holly, Mary, Ciarra and Justin; great-grandchildren, Tyler, Zoe, Grace and Bruce; a brother, Louis (Joyce); and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her grandson, Matthew. The funeral will be Monday at 10:30 a.m. from the John J. Turko & Sons Funeral Home, 402 Boulevard Ave., Dickson City, with Mass of Christian Burial at 11:30 a.m. in St. Eulalia Catholic Church, Elmhurst, to be celebrated by the Rev. Jeffrey Tudgay, pastor. Interment will follow in St. Anthony's Cemetery, Dickson City. Friends may call Monday from 9 to 10:30 a.m. at the funeral home. Those attending the viewing and funeral service are asked to follow CDC guidelines with social distancing and face masks.
