Forrest Vincent Wells
Forrest Vincent Wells, 64, passed away on Saturday, July 21, 2018 in Venice, Florida. Forrest was born to Forrest Dewitt and Marie Wells in Newark, New Jersey. He attended school in Maplewood, New Jersey and graduated from Columbia High School in 1972. On May 10, 1974, Forrest knew that Margaret Brydon would be his wife, and it was at her prom that he proposed to her. Forrest spent 30 years with General Motors as an assembler, then as a Quality Controller in the Paint Department, where he earned many commendations and awards. He then retired to Venice, Florida in 2011. Forrest was a very quiet and private person but was always willing to give a helping hand. He loved being with his family, especially on vacations. Forrest enjoyed boating, fishing, and antiquing. He was very active in his son's life, David, volunteering to assist in coaching soccer and baseball. Forrest leaves behind the love of his life for almost 41 years, Margaret; son, David (Michelle) Wells; sister Patricia (Robert) Kinsley; Mother in Law, Mary Ann Brydon; Sister in Law, Mary Ann Wojick; nieces and nephews, Jason ( Mary Ann) Korski, Raymond Korski, Anthony Korski, Jeffrey (Sarah) Wojcik, Miguel (Edjanice) Cruz, Jessica (Sean) Williams, Richard Brydon Ferry, Aaron (Anna) Kinsley; and great nieces and nephews, Zoe and Abigail Wojcik; Isabella, Gabriella, and Noah Cruz; and Johnathan Kinsely. Visitation will be held Friday, July 27, at Farley Funeral Homes and Crematory, 265 S. Nokomis Ave, Venice, FL from 2 p.m.-4 p.m. and 6 p.m.-8 p.m. A funeral mass will be held on Saturday, July 28 at Epiphany Cathedral 310 Sarasota St. Venice, FL at 10 a.m. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation in Forrest's memory to the American Heart Association or the Lung Cancer Association.
