Florence A. Lee PALMER TOWNSHIP Florence A. Lee, affectionately known as Suzie, of Palmer Twp., passed away at home on Saturday, Feb. 2, 2019, surrounded by her loving family. She was 73 years old. Suzie was born in Kansas City, MO. She was the daughter of the late Edward and Irene (Mann) Bowman. Suzie graduated from Shawnee Mission West High School, Class of 1963. Suzie was married to the love of her life, James W. Lee, for 54 years. She was a dedicated mother of eight children and grandmother to 12. Suzie was a devout member of St. Jane Frances de Chantal Church of Easton. She had a strong faith and passion for serving her church. She was a cantor, active member of the church choir, and Eucharistic Minister for many years. She was also involved in the St. Jane's Women's Group, Catholic Daughters, St. Jane's Parish Retreat, and Allentown Diocese Cursillo Movement. Suzie worked for the Catholic Social Agency of the Dioceses of Allentown for over 20 years. She coordinated marriage preparation programs and oversaw and taught Natural Family Planning programs to thousands of engaged couples. Suzie enjoyed spending time with her family and friends and traveling. Most of all, she adored being "Mooma" to all of her grandkids. In addition to her husband, she is survived by her children: Carl Lee, his wife Elayne, of Townsend, DE; Richard Lee, his wife Linda of Raleigh, NC; Jeffrey Lee, his wife Courtney, of Mertztown, PA ; Thomas Lee, of Wilson, PA; Nathan Lee, his wife Sarah, of Easton, PA; Maria Wismer, her husband Todd, of Nazareth, PA; Michael Lee, his wife Lori, of Wake Forest, NC; and Carmella Lee, of Philadelphia, PA; grandchildren: Morgan, Kasey, Kayla, Nathaniel, Lia, Bridget, Damon, Joshua, Jillian, Megan, Kiersten, and Jacob; siblings: sister, Bonnie Griffith, her husband Jack; brothers, Edward Bowman, Byron Bowman, his wife Sylvia, and Dalton Conner. Suzie is predeceased by her sister Katherine and her brother Eugene. Calling hours will be held on Friday, Feb. 8, 2019, from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. in Morello Funeral Home, Inc., 3720 Nicholas St. Easton, PA. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, Feb. 9, 2019, at 10:30 a.m. in St. Jane Frances de Chantal Church, 4049 Hartley Ave., Easton, PA. Interment will be private to the family. Donations in memory of Suzie may be made to the Lung Cancer Research Foundation, St. Jane de Chantal Church, and/or the Allentown Diocese Cursillo Movement.
