"FLOPSY" (nee Evans). Wife of Richard Dougherty (deceased), 94, passed away peacefully at her residence in Rocky River, Ohio on January 4, 2019. Florence was born in Ridgewood, New Jersey on May 24, 1924 to Florence and Charles Evans. She attended Lakewood High School (class of 1941), where later she worked for 23 years. Florence spent her years as an artist, an avid golfer till the age of 90, working as a red coat at Playhouse Theatre, and traveling the world with family and friends. She is preceded in death by her daughter Mary Jane Cox. She is survived by her daughters Suzanne Wiedemer, Patricia Ringenbach (John), her grandchildren Kristi Turner, Jess Wiedemer (Gina), Eric Wiedemer (Jacke), Chris Ringenbach (Lindsay), Margaret Butara (Neil), her 7 great-grandchildren, and her four legged pal Charlie. She was a beloved aunt, cousin, sister, and friend to many. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Hospice of the Western Reserve 30080 Hospice Way, Westlake, OH 44145. A memorial service celebrating Florence's life will be held at a later date.
