Felix A. Rutkoske
Felix A. Rutkoske, age 94 of Middletown, Delaware, passed away peacefully at home on Thursday, April 26. Born on Long Island, New York on September 4, 1923, to Felix J. and Mary F. Rutkoske. Felix met and married his wife in 1948 on Long Island. Together they moved to a farm in the Dover area in January 1953. In 1964 they settled on their Middletown farm on the Levels. Throughout his life the themes of farm, family, and faith were ever-present. In addition to his parents, Felix was preceded in death by his wife of 66 years, Irene, three siblings, and grandson Felix Rutkoske III. He is survived by his children, Patricia Irene, Felix Rutkoske (Karen), Susan Couch (Jeff), and Mark Rutkoske (Laurie) all of Middletown; his grandchildren, Kristin Pavlik (Martin); Elizabeth Jane; Mark Rutkoske Jr.; Samantha Heider (Andrew); Lauren Brown (Ben); Taylor Rutkoske; Christopher Couch; four great-grandchildren and three brothers. A viewing was held on Tuesday evening, May 1, 2018, from 6-8 p.m., at the Daniels & Hutchison Funeral Home, 212 N. Broad St., Middletown. Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated on Wednesday, May 2, at 10 a.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 371 E. Main St., Middletown. Interment followed at Old Bohemia Cemetery.
