Elsie Anna Fewings
Elsie Anna Fewings Palm Springs - Elsie Anna Fewings passed away peacefully in Palm Springs on December 16, 2018. Born April 19th 1934 in Detroit Michigan to Eigil and Amelia Jensen. Elsie was an only child. Elsie attended Monrovia High School and Pasadena City College. In 1969, Elsie and her family moved from Arcadia California to Palm Springs where they owned and operated The Cork n Bottle Liquor Store until 1989. After that Elsie enjoyed the life of retirement, Elsie was very proud of her Danish heritage and made several trips to her father's native Denmark in her youth. Elsie was an avid cribbage player and most days she would play 100 games online with her many world wide friends. Elsie is preceded in death by her parents, Eigil and Amelia Jensen, her husband Kenneth Arthur Fewings, her son Kenneth Jensen Fewings, and her longtime companion Harry Caron. She is survived by her son Daniel Jensen Fewings, daughter in law Christine Anne Fewings, granddaughters Danielle and Rachel Fewings, and her lifelong friend, Patsy Phelps. A memorial service will take place on January 12, 2019 at Wiefels Mortuary in Palm Springs at 1 pm. A celebration of Life will take place immediately following the service at Wiefels.
