ELIZABETH PUTMAN
  Elizabeth Anne Putman   Of Great Falls, VA passed away on Thursday, September 6, 2018 surrounded by her family. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Dr. Donald L. Putman, and her parents, John and Anna Doherty. Elizabeth was born in Washington, DC. and raised in Arlington and McLean, VA. After receiving a bachelor's degree in biology from American University, she was a medical technologist at the Radar Clinic at Fort Myer and managed a microbiological research laboratory at Hazelton Laboratories. She left the scientific field to raise three children and later became a realtor and associate broker for Long & Foster Real Estate in Great Falls, VA. As a realtor for over 30 years, she became a life member of the Northern Virginia Association of Realtors Top Producers Club and Million Dollar Sales Club. She is survived by a sister, Mary Katherine Doherty; three children, Elizabeth Putman Ulrich, John Doherty Putman, and Alexander Harrison Putman; and two grandchildren, Abigail Spence Ulrich and Madeleine Frances Putman. Visitation will be held at Money & King Funeral Home, in Vienna, VA on Tuesday, September 11 from 6 to 8 p.m. A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Wednesday, September 12 at 10 a.m. at St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church in Great Falls, VA, followed by interment at Columbia Gardens Cemetery in Arlington, VA. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Poor Clare Nuns of Alexandria, 2505 Stonehedge Drive, Alexandria, VA 22306.
