Earl Lee Iverson Jr.
CHASE -- Earl Lee Iverson, Jr., 85, of Chase, formerly of Grass Lake, passed away at his home May 1, 2018. He is survived by three children, Dan (Sue) Iverson, Rob Iverson and Sue (Charlie) Sanders; eight grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Amelia "Amy" G. Iverson, in 2010; his 2-year-old son, Dean, of Tay-Sachs Syndrome; and his parents, Earl and Rosella (Schramm) Iverson. Earl was born in Jackson Aug. 1, 1932, and was the oldest of 12 children. He served the nation during the Korean War with the U.S. Army in Alaska, retired from both Goodyear Tire and Rubber Co. and Dawlen Inc. He enjoyed traveling with his late wife and his family and was an avid hunter and fisherman. Services were held at Arthur-Day Funeral Home Monday, May 7, 2018, with the Rev. Larry Rubingh officiating. Interment was in Oak Grove Cemetery, Napoleon. Graveside military honors were rendered by the Jackson County American Legion Ritual Team.
