Dorothy L. Hoffman
Dorothy L. Hoffman, 92, of Highspire passed away peacefully on Tuesday, January 8, 2019 at the Middletown Home. She was a graduate of the former Highspire High School Class of 1944. Dorothy was employed by Appleby Brothers Plumbing and Heating for 30 years and the Naval Supply Depot in Mechanicsburg for almost 15 years. Dorothy was a lifetime member of St. Peter's Lutheran Church in Highspire. She sang in the choir for 80 years and remained very active in church affairs. She was also a member of the Order of Eastern Star, Hershey Chapter 509 in Hershey. Dorothy is survived by three nephews, Wayne N. Lichtenberger, Thomas J. Lichtenberger, and Bradley D. Lichtenberger; several other nieces and nephews; several great nieces and great nephews. Dorothy was preceded in death by her loving husband, Albert S. Hoffman. Funeral services will be held on Monday, January 14, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. in St. Peter's Lutheran Church, 240 Broad Street, Highspire, PA. Burial will be in Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens, Harrisburg. Visitation will be held on Monday at 10:00 a.m. until time of service in the church. Memorial contributions may be made to the St. Peter's Lutheran Church at 240 Broad Street, Highspire, PA 17034.
