In memory of
Dorothy Attridge Suiter
Dorothy Attridge Suiter passed away peacefully in her home in Rancho Palos Verdes on Tuesday, June 25th, surrounded by her family. Born in Brooklyn, New York to Walter and Dorothy Attridge, 'Dot' moved with her parents and sister, Jean to San Juan, Puerto Rico in 1962 where she attended Robinson School. There she met her high school sweetheart and love of her life, Ronald Suiter, who was 1963's Senior Class President. After completing their respective college degrees on the East Coast, Dot and Ron moved to California where they raised three children- Anne (Head), David, and Barbara (Urich) and celebrated fifty-one years of marriage. Known for her timeless elegance, grace, wry sense of humor, and love of family, Dot worked 27 years as a Wedding Director and, later, Wedding Director Supervisor at The Wayfarer's Chapel. She also spent many years as a volunteer with the Palos Verdes Junior Women's Club and Peninsula Chapter of National Charity League. She leaves behind a legacy of pie baking, epic Christmas celebrations, raucous Sunday night dinner parties, and kind-heartedness to her husband, children and six grandchildren. A memorial service will be held in her honor at The Wayfarer's Chapel on July 19th at 1:00pm. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to farmtotable.org and drugfreeworld.org.
