Donald R. Brin
Donald R. Brin, 64, passed away at home on January 3, 2019 surrounded by his family. Born December 20, 1954 in Holyoke, MA, son of the late Romeo Brin and Irene (Pariseau) St. Andre, he was also preceded in death by a brother Jimmy Brin. Donald has lived in Holyoke and South Hadley for most of his life. He proudly served as a veteran in the US Army. He was employed by the US Postal Service, where he worked in the Bulk Mail Center in Springfield for 33 years. During his time at the US Postal Service he was very active in the American Postal Workers Union. In his leisure, he enjoyed working on and riding his Harley-Davidson motorcycle. He will be deeply missed by his three sons, Derek Brin and his wife Christine of NC, Tyler Brin and his fiancé Lauren of S. Hadley and Jimmy Brin of S. Hadley. He also leaves a sister Sandra Matchett of CA and granddaughter, Kristin Brin. Donald also leaves a very special friend, Donna O'Shea of Chicopee, as well as numerous other lifelong friends. Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, January 9th from 3:00-6:00 p.m. followed by a closing prayer at the Beers & Story South Hadley Funeral Home.
