Donald J. Gatto
Donald J. Gatto, 82, of East Syracuse, passed away on Tuesday, June 12th at St. Camillus Health and Rehabilitation Center after a seven-year battle with Parkinson's Disease. Donald was married to Gail Marie Gardner for 23 years who passed away on October 1, 2017. They were ballroom dance instructors who owned and operated "The Dance Place" of East Syracuse for over 30 years. Don also retired from Upstate Hospital where he worked for 30 years as a computer programmer. In addition to his wife he is also predeceased by his son, Donald J. Gatto. Survivors include his son, Daniel Gatto; stepchildren, Sabrina Voll-MacDougall (Patrick MacDougall) and Steven (Heidi) Voll; granddaughters, Haley and Micayle MacDougall and Mackenzie Voll. His family would like to express their appreciation to Brookdale Bellevue and St. Camillus Staff for their support and care. Services will be private and there will be no calling hours per Donald's wishes. Please make a donation in memory of Donald J.
