Dolores C. (Germano) Fontaine, 81, passed peacefully on February 6, 2019. Born on July 3, 1937 to Michael & Helen (Bonavita) Germano, she was born and raised in Springfield. Dolores was a graduate of High School of Commerce and went on to work at Plastic Packaging Co. in W. Springfield. Dolores will be dearly missed by her beloved daughters Linda Shackett-Blue & husband Estee of Springfield, Laura Raper & husband Larry of TX, her sister Jennie Kelly & husband Thomas of TN, as well as her 4 grandchildren Allan Blue & wife Ashley of Springfield, T.J. Woods & wife Shontae of SC, Adam Woods & wife Chrystal of TX and Jessica Woods-Starnes & husband June of NC, her niece Cheryl Brandmeier & husband Michael of PA, as well as her 17 great-grandchildren. Dolores will be especially missed by her dear friend Len Modeen of Agawam. Sadly, Dolores was pre-deceased by her husband Nelson S. Fontaine, Sr. Dolores’ funeral will be held Friday, February 8, 2019, at 8:30AM at Tazzini Funeral Home, 22 Locust St., in Springfield, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10AM at Mt. Carmel Church. Burial at a later date at Ellington Cemetery in CT.
