Dennis L. Leach 1945 - 2018 Springfield, IL—Dennis L. Leach, 73, of Springfield, died at 6:25 pm, Sunday, September 2, 2018, at St. John's Hospital. He was born, March 18, 1945 in Pueblo, CO, to Paul A. and Regina Reynolds Leach. He married Bronwyn Jones on February 14, 2004, and she survives. Also surviving are one daughter, Paula D. (Mark W. Kunshek) Leach of Cameron Park CA; one son, Dennis Levi (Ashlee) Leach of Chatham; one granddaughter, Suzannah Leach; four siblings, Francine (Rick) Jordon, Richard Leach, Leonard (Missy Brosamer) Leach both of Springfield and Sandy (John) Estill of Petersburg and several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his father, Paul A. Leach and his mother, Regina Courtney. Dennis served in the Illinois Army National Guard. He was also a member of Masonic Lodge #523 in Chatham for forty-six years; American Legion Post 759 in Chatham for fifty years and was a member of the Chatham Volunteer Fire Department. He was a Honkytonk Outlaw, and Chicago Cubs and New York Yankees Fan. He held records in track at Chatham Glenwood for many years. Memorial Gathering: 4:00 – 7:00 pm, Monday, September 10, 2018 at Staab Funeral Home – Springfield. Memorial Service: 10:00 am, Tuesday, September 11, 2018 at Staab Funeral Home – Springfield with Reverend Nicole Cox officiating. Burial will be at McKinnie Cemetery.
