E. Deloris Reynolds
E. Deloris Reynolds of Smyrna, DE, died on Monday, December 25, 2017 at her home. She was 81. Born on December 22, 1936 in Dover, Delaware, she was the daughter of the late Charles F. O'Neal and Maxine M. Legar. In her younger years, she was a 4-H Club Leader for many years in New Castle and Kent County Delaware. She also loved dancing. Mrs. Reynolds enjoyed country music as well and sang live on the radio on WDOV in the mid-1950s. She loved to travel and enjoyed coaching girls' softball, especially the Delab Little Lass Girls softball team of Smyrna-Clayton, DE. Mrs. Reynolds was a former member of the Bohemia Yacht and Country Club in Hacks Point. Her and her husband and family spent most of their summers in Hacks Point at their summer cottage. Mrs. Reynolds cherished the time she spent with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. In addition to her husband of 59 years, Rodney A. Reynolds, she is survived by three sons, William F. O'Neal of Clayton, DE, A. Rodney Reynolds of Smyrna, DE, and Justin W. Reynolds and companion Angela of Newark, DE; one daughter, Carol Lee and her husband William of Felton, DE, one brother, Richard F. O'Neal and wife Joyce of Sudlersville, MD; nine grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, January 3, 2018 at 11 a.m. where friends and family may call after 10 a.m. at the Fellows Family Funeral Home in Millington, MD, where relatives and friends may also call on Tuesday, January 2, 2018 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Interment will be in Galena Cemetery, following the service. Flowers will be accepted but if you choose to make a donation in lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in her memory to the Delaware 4-H Foundation, Inc. 113 Townsend Hall, 531 South College Avenue, Newark, DE 19716.
