David Stuart Krumwiede Born: December 18, 1952 Died: March 15, 2020 David Stuart Krumwiede died at his farm on March 15, 2020, 4:35 PM., at age 67. He was born in Elmhurst, IL on Dec. 18, 1952 to Theodore and Constance (Bauer) Krumwiede, and attended Grand Ave., Laidlaw, and McClure Jr. HS. He then became a graduate of Lyons Township HS, Class of 71, and earned a BS Degree in Education from Northern IL State University. During high school, David participated in youth choir and bell choir at his childhood church, the First Presbyterian Church of LaGrange. During college, David signed up for the Marine Reserves, but he was never required to do active duty. After college, he was sponsored to teach science in Australia for two years and upon return to the U.S., taught in the Chicago Public Schools. David went on to fulfill his passion in science, especially geography and geology, by being self-employed in projects such as mapping of the earth and global food banks. David loved family gatherings, keeping contact with friends, charity and sporting events, and traveling the world. He also had a passion to snow ski or scuba dive. David was extremely intelligent and caring. He is survived by the "love of his life" Gayle Johnson, Patti (Arnold) Belasco, Tom (Kris) Krumwiede, Larry (MaryFrances) Krumwiede, and Chuck (Janice) Krumwiede, five nieces and two nephews. He died on his farm (originally his grandfather's) where he could recharge, relax and be peaceful. He will be missed.
