David M. Mulcahy NEWTOWN, PA - David M. Mulcahy died on Wednesday, Oct. 2, at his home in Newtown, PA, with his beloved wife, Lois, by his side. He was 90. Born Nov. 11, 1922 in Trenton, NJ, he is survived by his wife of 56 years, Lois Ann; a daughter and son-in-law, Karen and John Callaghan of Yardley, PA; a son and daughter-in-law, Michael and Laurie Mulcahy of Tucson, AZ; three grandchildren, Drew Callaghan, Lindsay and Lucas Mulcahy; a brother-in-law, Robert N. Stutz; his sisters-in-law, Imogene Fish and Verna Fish and several nieces and nephews. He retired in 1996 as editor of the Standard & Poor's Daily News after 35 years of service. He also served as chairman of the Standard & Poor's Unit of the Newspaper Guild of New York for nearly 20 years as international vice president-at-large. David also was extremely active at Trinity Episcopal Cathedral in Trenton, NJ, where he had been a parishioner for more than 70 years. At his death, he was director of communications and a member of the Finance & Budget Commission and secretary of the Property, Maintenance & Improvement Commission. An avid St. Louis Cardinals baseball and Miami Dolphins football fan, Dave enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, especially summer barbecues by the pool at their former home on Briner Lane in Hamilton Square, NJ. The burial service and Holy Eucharist will be celebrated at Trinity Episcopal Cathedral, West State Street, Trenton, NJ at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, Oct. 7. Calling hours will be from 3 to 5 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 6, at Trinity Episcopal Cathedral. Burial will be in Ewing Church Cemetery on Scotch Road in Trenton. In lieu of flowers, contributions in his memory may be made to Trinity Episcopal Cathedral, 801 West State Street, Trenton, NJ 08618.
