David K. Wagner, M.D. 1953—2018 David K. Wagner, M.D. passed into eternal life on August 31, 2018 at age 64. He was born in Lena, IL, but raised his family in Bayside, WI. He is survived by his daughters Laura and Jennifer (Jabez Deacon); partner and best friend Mary Palesse; siblings Alice (Michael) Omelusik, Mary (Dwight) Klitzke, Neal (Kris) Wagner, and Karen (Brad) Otterson; nieces, nephews, and many friends. He is preceded in death by his parents Dorothy and Harold Wagner; nephews Stephen and Joel; and niece Amanda. He devoted his 30 plus year career as an infectious diseases and primary care doctor at the Veteran's Administration Hospital and Medical College of WI. He was passionate about his work as a healer and impacted countless patients', residents', and fellows' lives over the years. He loved the outdoors and adventure, and he could often be found walking the beach at his beloved Doctors Park. He showed everyone he met how to truly live their life to the fullest and fight to overcome any obstacle. His life was celebrated at a visitation at Feerick Funeral Home in Shorewood, WI on Saturday, September 8th from 10AM to 12PM with a service at Noon, and a reception followed. Memorials in David's name may be made to The Park People of Milwaukee County Inc., with Doctors Park Friends on the memo line.
