David Christopher Rogers passed away Tuesday, Oct. 7, 2017. David was born Oct. 19, 1981 in Voorhees, N.J. to Andy and Stella Padilla. After graduation he enlisted and served in the United States Marines stationed in Iraq and Japan. David graduated from Polytech and was attending Wilmington College where he received his associate's degree in Computer Science and was working on his bachelor's degree. David had worked for Comcast as an installer then most recently for Kent County Wastewater Treatment. He enjoyed watching the Philadelphia Eagles, fishing and spending time with his family. David was a member of DAV. He is survived by his parents, Andy and Stella Padilla of Clayton; his fiancé, Elizabeth Paulsen; siblings, Andres Padilla (Erin) of Milford, Barbara Silva (George) of San Antonia, Texas, Tammy Malloy (fiancé Dave) of Magnolia, Amy Renda of Dover and Nicolas Padilla of Clayton; grandfather, George Rogers of Middletown; and many aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 12 p.m., Wednesday, Nov. 15, 2017 at Torbert Funeral Chapel South, 1145 E. Lebanon Road (Route 10), Dover. Friends may call one hour prior. Interment will be in Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Bear. Letters of condolences may be sent and guestbook signed.
