Daniel S. Allen Sr. Mass is on Tuesday for AT&T executive, loving family man Daniel S. Allen Sr of Summit, N.J., passed away peacefully on Thursday, March 12, 2015, at Center for Hope Hospice , Scotch Plains, N.J., at the age of 56. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the visitation on Monday, March 16, from 4 to 8 p.m. at Paul Ippolito Summit Memorial, 7 Summit Ave., Summit. A Funeral Mass will be offered on Tuesday, March 17, at 10:45 a.m. at St. Teresa of Avila Church, Morris Ave., Summit. Interment will be private. He previously resided in Maplewood, N.J., and Wayne, Pa. He achieved an MBA from Columbia University and was employed as an executive director of wholesale markets for AT&T until his retirement in 2010. Daniel is survived by his beloved wife of 34 years, Anna (nee Luther) Allen; his loving children, Nicole Dalton (Christopher) and Daniel Scott Allen Jr; his parents, Robert and Elizabeth Allen; and dear siblings, Jay Allen (Susan), Katherine, Ann, and Amy Allen; and brothers-in-law, Dan Luther (Mary Ellen) and Joe Luther. He is also survived by his cherished grandson, Charlie Dalton, and a host of nieces and nephews.
