CYNTHIA MASON
Cynthia Diana Mason Sept. 3, 1949 - Feb. 9, 2020 OKLAHOMA CITY Cynthia Diana Mason of Oklahoma City passed away at age 70 on Sunday, February 9, 2020. It is with comforting thoughts that she gained her angel wings as she was welcomed Home by our Heavenly Father; her parents, Henry and Nellie Eaton; and older sister, Carol Eaton. Dianne was born September 3, 1949 in Ada, Oklahoma. She attended school in Oklahoma City. She joined the United States Army and after a short time, received her honorable discharge. She was a mother that worked a variety of jobs to provide for her family - bartender, waitress, sales, and maintenance; but it was when she became a nurse that she found her true calling. She loved caring for her patients, pets, and family. She had a very special relationship with her granddaughter Katherine, which meant the world to her. Dianne enjoyed reading, painting, listening to music, dancing, watching old movies, history and politics, and most of all the Oak Island series. She also loved to bake. Her family loved it when she would make her delicious homemade German Chocolate cake. She is survived by her son, Richard Mason, III and wife Olya; daughter, Jannell Mason-Neal and husband E. Keith Neal; granddaughter, Katherine Mason; bonus grandchildren, Tyler and Courtney Neal; bonus great grandchild, Caleigh; 2 sisters and 1 brother and their spouses; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, other family and friends. All services will be at Bill Merritt Funeral Service, 6201 NW 39th Expressway, Bethany. Viewing will be 9am-5pm Thursday and Friday, as well as 8am-1pm Saturday. The family would like you to join them for food and fellowship at 1:30pm Saturday with a Celebration of Life to follow at 3pm. A private inurnment will be held at Jamison Cemetery.
