Clarence J. (Dan) Damgaard Dec. 9, 1917 - Aug. 4, 2008 Former Pleasant Hill Resident Dan Damgaard, a retired aeronautical engineering technician for the U.S. Navy, died Monday in Indio, California. He was 90 years old. The native of Bravo, Michigan lived in Indio for 3 years and previously in Pleasant Hill for over 50 years. He was stationed at Ford Island, Oahu on Dec. 7, 1941 and was a Pearl Harbor survivor. He is survived by his son, James Steven Damgaard of Somerset; daughter, Carole Lynn Terry of Indio; sister, Elsie Ewing-Housinger of Palmdale; grandson, Scott Damgaard of Carson City; and granddaughter, Amanda Terry of Indio. Memorial Service: 3 p.m. Friday, August 15 at Oakmont Memorial Park, Lafayette, Ca.
