Clare Lynch Clark
Clare (Lynch) Clark, 84, of Ashlar Village in Wallingford, died Friday, Sept. 7, 2018 at home. She was the loving wife of the late Francis Clark. She was born in New Haven, August 13, 1934, a daughter of the late Harry and Ellen (Sweeney) Lynch. She graduated from Thomaston High School and received her bachelor's degree in early education from St. Joseph's College. She enjoyed swimming, reading and was an avid UConn basketball fan. She treasured her time with the Wallingford Garden Club and volunteered for many years at the Wallingford Public Library. Her happiest times were spent on the beach at Mansfield Grove with her family. She is survived by her daughters, Mary Clark and Meghan Clark McDaniel; her son-in-law, Jeffrey McDaniel; granddaughter, Anne; in-laws, Donald and Alice Clark; nieces, nephews and a host of loving friends. She was predeceased by her son, Paul Clark; and her sisters, Rose Nieman, Elizabeth Grohoski and Maureen Cianciolo. Her family will receive relatives and friends in The Wallingford Funeral Home, 809 N. Main St. Ext., on Friday, Sept. 14, from 5 to 7 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday at 10 a.m. directly at Church of the Resurrection, 115 Pond Hill Rd., Wallingford. Interment will be in In Memoriam Cemetery. Gifts in her memory may be sent to Master's Manna. www.wallingfordfh.com
