Charles W. Phillips HELLERTOWN Charles W. "Chas" Phillips, 57, of Hellertown, PA, passed away Friday, April 5, 2019, at his home. Born October 3, 1961, in Easton, PA, he was a son of Charles S. and Gloria (Rapp) Phillips, of Kunkletown. Chas retired from the International Association of Ironworkers after decades of dedicated service. He enjoyed spending time with family and his many friends, fishing, listening to music as he drove his Jeep, and helping others whenever he had the chance. Chas was a member of Liberty Hose, where he turned friends into family and had his routine of visits and winning prizes he didn't want. Surviving, in addition to his parents, are two daughters, Laura E. Williams and husband Trapper of Wayne, PA, and Athena Sidlar and partner Tiff Laczo of New Tripoli; two brothers, Paul and Curt Phillips, both of Hellertown; a nephew, Curtis, Jr.; two nieces, Miranda and Emily; three grandchildren, Phoenix, Matthew and Aubrey; a goddaughter, Nicole Smith and husband Justin of Easton, PA, and his former wife, Lori Phillips, of Danielsville, PA. A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday in the Strunk Funeral Home, Inc., 2101 Northampton Street, Wilson Borough. Call Friday 10 to 11 a.m. in the funeral home.
