CEFERINO MACARAIG, JR. Ceferino "Sonny" Macaraig, Jr., 70, of Jersey City NJ peacefully passed away on Saturday, April 7, 2018 at the Jersey City Medical Center. Mr. Macaraig was born in Manila, Philippines on December 8, 1947. He resided in Jersey City for more than 25 years. Ceferino worked at Allied Bank and the U.S. Peace Corps in Manila, Philippines before moving to the United States. He was also employed for Raytheon and Ebasco which was in the World Trade Center. Ceferino was a long-time parishioner at St. Aloysius Catholic Church in Jersey City. He is survived by his loving wife of 47 years, Myrna and caring son, Carlo and sister-in-law Felicitas Macaraig, Philippines and brothers-in-law Rodolfo and Romeo Alvarez and siblings and cousins Nestor, Gilda and Emma Romero and families. He is predeceased by his parents, Ceferino Sr. and Matilde Macaraig and brother Catalino Macaraig. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the visitation on Friday, April 13, 2018 from 5-9pm at the Greenville Memorial Home, 374 Danforth Avenue, Jersey City. Funeral mass 10am on Saturday, April 14, 2018 at Saint Aloysius Catholic Church, 691 Westside Avenue, Jersey City NJ. Disposition Rosehill Crematory, Linden, New Jersey.
