In memory of
Barbara (Briggs) Moore
Barbara (Briggs) Moore Canandaigua - - Barb Moore died peacefully on Feb. 14, 2021 after gracefully surviving metastatic breast cancer for 10 years. She was born in Rochester, New York, daughter to LeRoy and Shirley (Chamberlain) Briggs. She attended Victor Central Primary through High School. After raising her three children in Farmington, N.Y, she channeled her love of assisting the elderly by working at Ontario County's Office of the Aging until retirement. She is survived by her husband, James Moore Sr.; her three children and their families; sons, James Moore Jr. and Scott Moore, daughter, Lyndsey Kinney and 11 grandchildren. She was a loving and devoted wife of 56 years, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She adored her grandchildren and was a constant presence in their lives. If you wanted to know what a particular family member was doing, it was easy to find out, just "ask Mom." Her love of family gatherings, particularly during holidays, always brought a smile to our faces and made many happy, lasting memories. We will miss her every day. A private family memorial service will be held during Spring 2021 at Woodlawn Cemetery in Canandaigua. In lieu of flowers, please send donations in her name to House of John ( www.houseofjohn.org ).
