In memory of
Angelina C. Rossi
With heavy hearts the Rossi family announces the passing of their beloved Angelina C Rossi on February 18,2021. Born to the late Marco and Teresa (Resta) DePinto on May 4,1928 on the family farm in Feeding Hills, she was raised there and remained a lifelong resident of Feeding Hills. After attending local schools graduating from Agawam high school in 1946, she wed the love of her life Charles Rossi in 1948 and happily established their large family. Among her many talents Angelina was a great cook which provided her the opportunity to become a sous chef for the famous Betty’s restaurant in the Patch for many years. Besides cooking Angelina enjoyed gardening. In her leisure she could be found visiting the casino or watching the Boston Red Sox or her favorite “the price is right.” Her most treasured times were those spent with her family and being a grandmother and great grandmother to the many she had. Playing” may I “with the kids was at the top of her list of her favorite activities. She will be forever missed, and the bonds never broken. Angelina is survived by her devoted children; daughter Carol and her husband Kenneth Grazywacz of Feeding Hills with whom she made her home; son Joseph and his wife Donna Rossi of Southwick; son Alfred and his wife Deb Rossi of West Springfield; daughter Angela and her husband Stanley Chmielewski of Las Vegas; daughter Susan and her husband David Silvernail of Southampton; daughter-in-law Yvonne Rossi and her best friend Rosemary Pisano. To cherish her memory, she leaves her grandchildren Karen, Charles, James, Joseph, Kristen, Tina, Diana, Jessica, David and eleven great grandchildren. Sadly, besides her husband she was predeceased by her sons David in 1974, Charles in 1998; and her sisters Pasqualina, Antonette, Jenny, and Christini. Calling hours for Angelina will be held on Thursday February 25 from 4-7 P.M. at the Agawam Funeral Home 184 Main St. Family and friends will gather at the funeral home on Friday February 26 at 10 A.M and proceed to Sacred Heart church in Feeding Hills for an 11 A.M. liturgy of Christian burial. Committal will follow immediately at St Thomas Cemetery. Memorial donations in her name maybe made to Sacred Heart church 1061 Springfield St Feeding Hills 01030.
