Jean Frew Brannon died on Saturday, January 9th. She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald I. Brannon; son, Donald Robert Brannon; parents, Robert A. and Lila Jean Frew, and sister, Betty Jane Frew. Jean was born in Norwood, AL and attended Phillips High School. In 1948 she married Donald and together they lived in Houston, Chicago, New Jersey and Georgia. After many years they moved back to Birmingham. She was a member of Hoover First Methodist Church and Birmingham Quilters Guild. Jean is survived by her daughter, Carol Lynne Brannon Dye (Thomas); son, David F. Brannon (Philip Nemer); grandchildren, Kristen Brannon, Michael Brannon, Jeffery Brannon (Julie), Michael Lindamood, Thomas Dye (Cheryl) and five great grandchildren. Due to the Covid virus the family has requested a private funeral. Thoughts and prayers are very welcomed.
