In memory of
Raul Velasquez Jr.
Raul Velasquez Jr, peacefully passed away on December 7, 2020 following a long-fought illness at the age of 73. Raul was born August 22, 1947 in Los Angeles, CA to Raul Sr and Lucille (Sainz) Velasquez. He was raised in Annapolis, CA and graduated from Point Arena High School in 1965. He and his family lived in Manchester and Santa Rosa before they made Fort Bragg, CA their home. Raul worked for Clover Stornetta Farms as a door-to-door milkman in Sonoma County, eventually buying his own milk routes. In 1981, he purchased Bolden Dairy, Inc. in Fort Bragg where his favorite route was the South Coast from Mendocino to Gualala. The last 12 years of his career were happily spent in the parts department at Fort Bragg Electric. Raul was a family man and spent most weekends and every holiday with his children and grandchildren. His true joys in life were camping and hunting with his son and grandchildren and going on family vacations with his daughter and grandchildren. He also enjoyed spending time with his siblings in his beloved Annapolis. "Dad" is survived by his loving children, Kimberlie Fraser and her partner, Timothy Emge, Jonathon Velasquez and his wife, Gina. "Rara" is survived by his grandchildren, Alex Fraser, Madison Fraser, Maya Velasquez, and Parker Velasquez. Raul is also survived by his siblings, Edward Velasquez, Eva (Ken) Spacek, and Rita (Joe) Miller, and six nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his parents. Raul was a friend to everyone he met and a source of strength for everyone who knew him. He will be deeply missed and fondly remembered.
