Frank J. Ascani
Frank J. Ascani, age 91, formerly of Camp Hill, passed away on Monday, November 23, 2020 at Claremont Nursing & Rehab Center. Born April 2, 1929 in Exeter, he was the son of the late John Michael and Rose (Vitali) Ascani. Frank was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War and worked for many years for the former TRW corporation in Harrisburg until his retirement. He was a member of Good Shepherd Catholic Church and was a dedicated caregiver to his wife, Catherine, as well as his more recent partner, Barbara, through their illnesses. In his free time, Frank enjoyed watching the Philadelphia Phillies and Eagles. Frank was preceded in death by his wife, Catherine A. (Matsola) Ascani; his daughter, Valerie C. Biden; his son, John M. Ascani; and his sister, Matilda Serbin. Surviving are his four grandchildren, Nicole Ascani, Emily Biden, Julie Gilbertson, and Gia Biden; his five great-grandchildren, Chase, Riley, Clay, Gabe, and Bella; and his sister, Gemma Antonik. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 AM Saturday, November 28 at Good Shepherd Catholic Church, 3435 Trindle Road, Camp Hill, where there will be a visitation beginning at 10:00 AM. Burial will take place in Rolling Green Cemetery.
