Joseph Anders PHILLIPSBURG, NJ Joseph Anders, 84, of Phillipsburg, NJ, passed away on Sunday, Oct. 11, 2020. Born on June 19, 1936, in Matthews, NC, he was the son of the late Ted and Cora Anders (Pressley). He and his wife, Marilyn "Chippy" Seland Anders, celebrated 63 years of marriage on Feb. 9, 2020. Joe, also known as "Rebel," was employed by Ingersoll-Rand for 44 years. He will be remembered as a kind and generous man who was always available to lend a helping hand to his family and friends. He found enjoyment in being around his family, visits back to North Carolina, his dog, Sparky, going to the horse races and Phillipsburg football games. Surviving, in addition to his wife Marilyn, are his daughters, Sherri Anders Garzillo and her husband, Steven of Forks Township and Amy Cuttic and her husband, Andrew of Williams Township, along with granddaughters, Chelsea Clifford, Elyse Cuttic and Sarah Cuttic. He also leaves behind sisters, Phyllis Lopez and Christine Anders and a brother, Roy Anders. He was predeceased by a sister, Donna Rossini and brother, Ted Anders. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, Dec. 5 from 2 to 4 p.m. at River of God Church, 813 Reynolds St., Easton, PA 18042. Arrangements are by the Strunk Funeral Home, Inc., Easton.
