George was born on February 18, 1941 and passed away on Thursday, June 1, 2017.
George was a resident of Black Canyon City, Arizona at the time of passing.
He then joined the U.S. Navy, in which he was stationed in San Francisco and served at Midway, the Philippines and Okinawa, Japan.
Memorial services will be at 10 a.m. Monday, June 12, at Apfel Funeral Home in Grand Island. There will be a visitation from 4 to 7 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
