Carolyn Parks Asbury Park, NJ - Carolyn V. Parks, 79, of Asbury, New Jersey, formerly of the Shore, departed this life on Thursday, July 25 2019 at the Jersey Shore University Medical Center in Neptune City, New Jersey. Born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, Carolyn was the daughter of the late James Dilday and Blanche Parks Dix. She was employed with Brockway Glass in Freehold, New Jersey for over twenty years and retired in 1988 when the plant closed. After the closure of the plant, she became a CNA at the Grove and Jersey Shore Nursing Rehab Center, retiring in 2003. Funeral services were held at Adams U.M. Church, Parksley, on Saturday, August 3, 2019. Interment was in the church cemetery. Carolyn leaves to cherish her memories: her children, Sheila Scotland and Nicholas Dilday; sister, Patricia Bagwell; son-in-law, Rollin Clarke; eight grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; a special friend, Charles Gandy; and a host of nieces, great nieces, nephews, great nephews, other relatives and friends. Arrangements are made by Cooper & Humbles Funeral Co., Inc., Accomac.
