Betty Louise Wetzel Rockport IN Betty Louise Wetzel, 88, passed away on February 3, 2019. Betty was born on August 10, 1930, to the late Paul Esterline and Thelma (Oliver) Camp. She graduated from Rockport High School in 1948, and on June 23, 1951, she married Glenn Wetzel of Buffaloville, and they settled in Rockport. It was there, over the next 65 years together, that they raised 4 sons, and built many long-lasting friendships. Betty spent her working years with General Electric and Pinkerton Tobacco, from which she retired in 1992. She spent her retired years doting on and visiting her children and grandchildren, being a devoted wife, and a friend to many in Rockport. Betty was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Glenn, and a granddaughter, Wendy. Betty is survived by her sons, Wayne Wetzel, and his wife Krinda, of Rockport, Dennis Wetzel of Rockport, Ernie Wetzel of New Smyrna Beach, FL, Jim Wetzel and his wife, Myra, of Evansville; grandchildren, Melissa, Kathryn, Jeremy , Logan, Megan, and Erin; great grandchildren, Kaitlyn, William, Dylan, Andrew, Chase, Savannah, Christian, Carter, and Bradlee; sister, Ruth; niece, Marilyn; nephew, Bill. Services are 10 A.M. Friday, February 8, 2019 at Boultinghouse Funeral Home in Rockport, IN, with Pastor Carl Jones officiating. Burial will follow in Sunset Hill Cemetery. Visitation is from 5 P.M. until 8 P.M. Thursday, February 7, 2019 at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association, Alzheimer's Association, or Miller's Merry Manor.
