BETTY POINTS Betty Rae Scroggins Points, 85, of Wilmington died Saturday, September 1, 2018. She was born in Grant County, KY on June 8, 1933. She was preceded in death by her parents Lorena Mardis Steffen and Adam Peter Steffen, son David Bruce Points, sister Anna Katherine Wallace, and brother Edgar Lee Scroggins. She is survived by her daughter Stephany Points Wilson and husband Christopher, grandchildren; Amanda Wilson Zumbrun and husband Dan, David Christopher Wilson and wife Emma, John Caleb Wilson and wife Erin, Micah Brower Wilson and wife Lisa, Adam Points Wilson and wife Wanda, sister Willena Kenner, and many great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and friends. Betty was an active member of her community; she was a longtime member of Grace Baptist Church, PTA President, and played different roles in the New Hanover County schools. She was an avid golfer, enjoyed choir, and loved to travel. The Funeral Service will be held at 11:30 on Tuesday September 4, 2018 at The Church of Jesus Christ Latter-Day Saints, 514 South College Road. A Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service. Interment will immediately follow at Oleander Memorial Gardens.
