Bethany Graham "Beth" Campbell-Work
Bethany Graham Campbell-Work passed away on June 23, 2019. She was born March 18, 1950 to Angus Graham Campbell and Frances Lathinghouse Campbell in DeFuniak Springs, Florida. Beth attended Pensacola Junior College and received her BS in Education from the University of West Florida. She lived her entire life in DeFuniak Springs, where she was an active, generous, and joyful member of her community and church. She worked for the Walton County Chamber of Commerce and the Walton County School System and belonged to the First Presbyterian Church. There she sang in the chancel choir, served as an Elder, founded the Kids' Closet, and directed the children's choir for over 20 years, as well as many Christmas plays. A gifted musician with a special talent and love for working with children, Beth directed productions at the Florida Chautauqua Theater. She enriched the lives of so many, in particular children. She was predeceased by her father Graham, stepfather Eddie Jones, and sister Cathy Campbell Reese. She is survived by her mother Frances; husband of 42 years Paul McDonald (Mac) Work, Jr.; sons Graham Campbell-Work (Lora), Hamp Campbell-Work, and Brut Campbell-Work (Chelsea); sister Dawn Campbell; grandchildren Mackinnon, Hallie, Catherine, Gray, and Bethany; and niece Kate Haulman (Guy Nelson) and grand-nephew Thomas; Vickie Jennings, dear friend and caretaker; and many beloved cousins and friends. A time of visitation will be 5:00-7:00 PM, Tuesday, June 25, 2019 at the First Presbyterian Church of DeFuniak Springs; 1063 Circle Drive, DeFuniak Springs, Florida, 32435. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM, Wednesday, June 26, 2019 at the First Presbyterian Church, with Reverend Durl Odom officiating. Serving as active pallbearers are Richard Anderson, Gus Andrews, Greg Bledsoe, Wade Carlan, Charles Cosson, Mark Davis, Floyd Lathinghouse, and Greg Lathinghouse. Honorary pallbearers are Bruce Anderson, Buck Anderson, Jack Huggins, Frank Nick, Mike Richards, Johnny Roehm, Benton Southard, and Bob Windsor. Burial will follow the funeral at Magnolia Cemetery on Judge A. G. Campbell's lot.
